A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it’s unbelievably easy to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section alphabetically and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled easily in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will find a small logo conveniently situated right next to each one of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
